Ex-gang member, Jamaican-born immigrant placed in special education, and gunshot survivor turned professional women's basketball player, Olympic qualifier, and Ph.D. candidate. Tajay has changed the narrative of her life by allowing her "Adversity to A.D.D. Versatility". Tajay Ashmeade has lived understanding that the odds were against her, but not allowing them to dictate her outcome.
